Bulb Capital in the press: Bulb successfully closed investment rounds in two Celebrity Startups – the latest trends from Los Angeles

Bulb Capital together with its Club Deal investors just closed two investment rounds totaling USD 15M in Goop, Inc., a company founded and led by Gwyneth Paltrow and Happiest Baby, Inc. a company founded and led by Dr. Harvey Karp.

Gwyneth Paltrow is an American actress, singer, author, and businesswoman. She has received numerous accolades for her work, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Primetime Emmy Award. After creating a lifesty blog, Gwyneth founded, Goop in 2008, a fast-growing lifestyle and natural health company. It designs gorgeous, real life experiences that foster profound shifts in peoples’ lives. Goop creates essential, conversation changing content in written, audio, and visual formats and then that content is used to drive conversion on their own beautiful, white space products, which are merchandised with the best of other brands. Within a few years, Goop has built a multi-faceted brand with diverse revenue streams (ranging from e-commerce over retail to experiences and media).

Dr. Harvey Karp is a world-renowned pediatrician with multiple bestselling books on pediatric health, safety and sleep. He is the founder of Happiest Baby Inc., the company which developed and sells the SNOO Safe Sleeper – the safest baby bed ever made. This is the most awarded baby product in history to date. The landmark, robotic, IoT baby bed, SNOO, is Doctor designed to imitate a mother’s womb using sound, feel, and motion in order to soothe babies at their most base level. Features include a continuous gentle rocking motion (slow swing vs. fast jiggles), a white noise setting, a protective swaddle wing that secures babies on their backs to prevent SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), and a gradual weaning feature to help transition babies into regular cribs when aged out of the SNOO at six months.
